The Piñeiro Cores family has been cultivating the vine for generations. It started with the cultivation of the first small pieces of land spread over the region where the Albariño variety is grown, until the Bodega “Adegas Gran Vinum SL” was born in 2002. All wines are based on the native Albariño grape and are made under the quality mark of the DO Rías Baixas. The Adegas Gran Vinum winery enjoys a unique privileged location, located in Vilanova de Arousa, in the Salnes sub-zone. The presence of the Umia River has a special influence on the climate and the soil, giving the Albariño grape its specific qualities and nuances. Geography, variety and climate are vital to make wine successfully. They are all certainly elements that influence the taste and aroma of the wines. But the motto according to Enrique Piñeiro for continuing to make quality wines is to do the work well and to respect the land and vineyard throughout the generations.
